Director of Student Ministry
Here in the Berkley Student Ministry we believe in the importance of investing in the next generation. Not only do we want to steward our time on this earth well and care for those who come after us, we also believe that Jesus is calling us in the Great Commission to this (Matthew 28:19-20). Our goal is to start and sustain a multiplication movement of global proportions- being disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus, starting with the next generation. Our greatest desire is to see everyone walking in the fullness of a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will continue to radically spread His love and shine a light into the dark world around us until that day comes. We would love to have you and your students join us on this mission!
Camps
Camp is a big part of our youth ministry and every year we offer our students two camps. Never The Same Camp (NTS) in the summer and Snow Camp in the winter. If you want more information in regards to either one of these camps, reach out to your small group leader or Logan and let’s get you signed up.
Sunday Night Youth Group
We meet on Sunday evening during the school year. First we hang out as a large group, then we play a game, go into a time of worship and then break up into our small groups. If you have never been to youth group before, connect with Logan and let’s get you plugged in! Below are some pictures of us hanging out during youth group.
Info about Student Ministry
We seek to engage, encourage, equip, and empower our students to live as disciples who are all in for Jesus and make other disciples not only by having fun each week– but through Biblical teaching, Holy-Spirit-filled worship, and authentic times in Christ-centered community. A huge emphasis within our ministry is small groups– deeply connecting with other students in a similar stage of life! We provide many opportunities to do this: Our weekly youth groups, discipleship groups, our winter retreats, and Never The Same (NTS) Camp during the summer. Each year we put together a team of awesome small group leaders who interact with our students every single week to walk with them through the ups and downs of life as a middle school or high school student. These small group leaders are individuals who have a deep and flourishing relationship with Jesus and a heart to invest in the next generation and guide them towards the fullness found in life with Jesus.
